when I leave for the night, I ain't coming back

H&M Knit Sweater, Talula Leggings, Forever XXI Jewellry
(NOTE: I'm not a contortionist, my leggings are covering my heels at that moment)

Figured I should blog on the last day of 2009 while getting ready to head out with friends to have a nice dinner, then the occasional house party countdown with lots of champagne and confetti. It sucks how I have school in 4 days and it feels like my holidays just started, considering that I just started waking up at 12pm and making use of the shortened holiday that I have.

What's your New Years Resolution?

Mine would have to be:
  • Hitting the gym on average 3-4 times a week - a complete fail in 2009 due to lack of motivation and my laziness during exam periods
  • Finally getting my G2 since DriveTest centers finally decided to stop going on strike

    ...and the list goes on

Happy New Years Everyone! and Welcome 2010 :)

    2009 is finally ending

    Forever XXI Outfits ft. thereallinatran

Had a little get together with some high school friends before LT leaves for Los Angeles for a week. While she enjoys the fall weather and numerous shopping outlets, I'm stuck here in the snow with negative temperature and packed malls since Boxing Day is near. Great.

    finals season

The most important thing in life is to stop saying "I wish" and start saying "I will." Consider nothing impossible, then treat possibilities as probabilities.

Good luck on finals everyone! Counting down the days till Christmas break, argh.

    Happy Birthday SL

Birthday Celebration #2 at Jack Astors. My deluxe bacon cheeseburger wasn't quite up to standards (did not have the WOW factor) but I can't complain; food is food.

Highlight of the night was when the birthday girl opened up two gifts that consisted of a black ADIDAS sweater...in both bags. We're definitely good at planning gifts (clearly not).

Christmas tree is finally up in the house. Looking forward to what December has in store, minus the thought of finals lurking closer. I wish I went away for vacation, the weather here is definitely not cooperating with me at the moment.

Happy Birthday to GK and Happy Early Birthday to VN and JD! Who knew Jello shots can hit me that hard. Got the asian glow; don't watch that.

"What SkullCandy? Can I have some?"

H&M Sweater, Kidrobot T-Shirts, Friday Outfit Preview

To keep or not to keep, that is the question. My way of shopping consists of an impulse purchase, then a thorough thinking of either keeping it or returning it. It's pretty bad, I can never make up my mind. Aritzia sale is by far better than their Boxing Day sale, although I only walked out with a pair of mittens (will definitely be pissed if it turns up somewhere in Waterloo). As always, my last purchase at Vaughan Mills is a new york cheesecake candy apple (TP is probably sick of seeing me in his store haha!) Can't help it, I'm addicted.

Friday Outfit Preview. It's been a while since I've dressed up. Excited to get/see JD, VN, and GK shammered. Last party of the semester before we bury our faces in textbooks. Oh fun stuff!

    Best of Both Worlds

My weekend started off with a visit to Chakos for a late night special of $11.99. I can't remember the last time I had korean bbq but this definitely satisfied my cravings. Wanted to head over to Destiny's afterwards but the driver flopped on his other plans with friends who decided to also go to Destiny's. Btw, Sake is nasty.

Off to the Aritzia Sale in a bit. Please don't disappoint! I'll most likely be getting a new pair of mittens since I can't find my pair or it probably "magically" disappeared.

    choo choo!

Definitely in love with the shoe collection. This is what I do when I don't want to write my paper. I think I'm just taking advantage of my 0.5% late penalty.

    Fearless

"This album is called Fearless, and I guess I'd like to clarify why we chose that as the title...

    * To me, FEARLESS is not the absence of fear. It's not being completely afraid.
    * To me, FEARLESS is having fears.
    * FEARLESS is having doubts. Lots of them.
    * To me, FEARLESS is living in spite of those things that scare you to death.
    * FEARLESS is falling madly in love again, even though you've been hurt before.
    * FEARLESS is getting back up and fighting for what you want over and over again, even though every time you've tried before, you've lost.
    * It's FEARLESS to have faith that someday things will change.
    * FEARLESS is having the courage to say goodbye to someone who only hurts you, even if you can't breathe without them.

    AND

    * When someone apologized to you enough times for things they'll never stop doing, I think it's FEARLESS to stop believing in them.
    * It's FEARLESS to say "you're not sorry", and walk away.
    * I think loving someone despite what people think is FEARLESS.
    * I think allowing yourself to cry on the bathroom floor is FEARLESS.
    * Letting go is FEARLESS. Then, moving on and being alright, that's FEARLESS too.
    * But no matter what love throws at you, you have to believe in it.
    * You have to believe in love stories and prince charming and happily ever after.

That's why I write these songs. Because I think love is FEARLESS."

    - Taylor Swift

    Oprah Once Said:

If a man wants you, nothing can keep him away. If he doesn't want you, nothing can make him stay. Stop making excuses for a man and his behavior. Allow your intuition or spirit to save you from heartache. Stop trying to change yourself for a relationship that's not meant to be. Slower is better. Never live your life for a man before you find what makes you truly happy. If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve, heck no, you can't '' be friends ''. A friend wouldn't mistreat a friend. Don't settle. If you feel like he is stringing you along, then he probably is. Don't stay because you think it will get better. You'll be mad at yourself a year later for staying when things are not better. The only person you can control in a relationship is you. Always have your own set of friends separate from his. Maintain boundaries in how a guy treats you. If something bothers you, speak up. Never let a man know everything. He will use it against you later. You cannot change a man's behavior. Change comes from within. Don't ever make him feel he is more important than you are.. even if he has more education, or is in a better job. Do not make him into a quasi-god. He is a man, nothing more nothing less. Never let a man define who you are. Never borrow someone else's man. If he cheated with you, he'll cheat on you. A man will only treat you the way you allow him to treat you. All men are not dogs. You should not be the only one doing all the bending.. compromise is a two way street. You need time to heal between relationships.. there is nothing cute about baggage. Deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship. You should never look for someone to complete you.. a relationship consists of two whole individuals. Look for someone complimentary, not supplementary. Dating is fun.. even if he of two doesn't turn out to Mr. Right. Make him miss you sometimes.. when a man always know where you are, and you're always readily available to him. He takes it for granted. Never move into his mother's house, never co-sign for a man. Don't fully commit to a man who doesn't give you everything you need. Keep him in your radar but get to know others. Share this with other women and men; you'll make someone smile, another rethink her choices, and another woman prepare. They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them and an entire lifetime to forget them. You should know that you're the best thing that could ever happen to anyone and if a man mistreats you, HE WILL MISS OUT A GOOD THING. If he was attracted to you in the 1st place, just know that he's not the only one.

last name ever, first name greatest

My weekend back in Toronto consisted off...actually, not much. Turned down seeing my friend in Waterloo for groceries and laundry back in Toronto. Haven't seen her for over a year and she goes to school down the street from me. What are the odds? Claims that she's been super busy every day but had this weekend free. What has UW done to you? Just playing :P

Stopped by Vaughan Mills Mall as a weekend routine. This mall still disappoints me (no offence to those who love this mall). Walked out of Forever XXI empty-handed because nothing caught my eye - same with the rest of the mall. Trying to find a decent pair of boots for the winter but no luck. Took a picture of this ADORABLE dogcat at Pet Safari (just opened at vaughan mills). Baby would definitely love another friend.

Grocery shopping - couldn't stand to eat out for another day. Considering that I'm very lazy to go work out at the gym, it's time that I start cooking and start spending money on groceries.

A conversation started at my very good friend's birthday dinner about Rihanna's middle finger tattoo. Thoughts?

    This definitely caught my attention.

    Happy Birthday ex-neighbour of Mine!

Even though nothing turned out as plan, I hope you had fun tonight! xo

Heidi and Spender as: Jon and Kate
    - I LOL when I saw this.
Since when does Jon wear Ed Hardy?
    Epic fail, Spencer Pratt.

Sleep deprivation has officially taken over my life. Midterms are over, although I don't quite get how I can still manage stay up this late.

The gym is calling my name. I don't like the fact that my agenda is full of receipts for the previous week. Studying + lazy to cook = GAINED WEIGHT.

It's pretty funny how I spend my first weekend in Waterloo studying. Especially on the night of Halloween. While I watch in envy as my roommates dress up in their costumes, I sit in the kitchen attempting to study when all I can think of is "partying".

    October 31, 2009

pour me a heavy dose of atmosphere

    sleep deprived.
    fucked up business law exam.
    studying on halloween night,
roomies feeding me a tequila shot

    life is definitely amazing.

brb, i'll be uploading like mad next weekend!

    happy halloween, everyone!

    now back to studying.

'Cause everything is never as it seems

A friend of mine tweeted about owl city one day and I replied back talking about my experience at owl city (korean restaurant) when I burnt my hand trying to eat pork bone soup in a cramped booth. Little did I know, she was talking about the group. Blonde moment. Oh well, my study study song for the week!

A little distraction to keep me away from my business law textbook. I should cut it short though since I have 12 more chapters to go through before Saturday's midterm. I am jealous of those who gets it easy during Halloween weekend.

I want your everything, as long as it's free

    Forever XXI Pea Coat

Bring it on Winter! .... winter party scene that is *SMIRK*

I've always managed to visit Forever XXI every weekend ever since the grand opening when I come home from Waterloo. I rarely come out empty handed (is that a bad thing?). I may have to stop by tomorrow to get the grey knit blanket sweater since my mom gave me the "you either choose one or get none" look. This is what I get for going away to school.

Continuation of studying: leadership/decisions and financial statements, Hurray!

    October 23, 2009

heart's locked and no where to get the key

Yup, midterm season. Or should I say "midterm week" since Laurier decided to bunch 3 of my midterms during Halloween weekend. With that being said, I'll be staying in on Halloween studying for my November 1st midterm while my roommates get to party like rockstars. Did I mention pigging out on candy and chocolate?

Hello to long nights and numerous cups of latte.

Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all! And happy belated birthday to the birthday boy who likes to comment on my facebook status. Wish I was there friday night to witness everything but you know..."I had a camping trip to go to".

Seems like everyone is going on a shopping spree frenzy so why not join in on the fun? Pencil skirt was definitely a steal at forever XXI at Vaughan Mills. Got a simple dress to match my new aldo heels. Then the camera made my weekend...*GRINS*

Upcoming week with nothing due and no midterms to write. My very own study week? Anticipating Oktoberfest but possibly going back to Toronto...again!

I love how my bestfriend would just drive over to see if everything is okay after balling my eyes out on the phone. What would I do without you LT? Definitely my down-to-earth girll.

I would never want it this way. If you were honestly my bestfriend, you would understand that I would do nothing to jeopardize our friendship.

    Fashion's Past

I remember the first day I got my first Hollister t-shirt. Like any typical asian would do (aka me), I picked up a simple design for under $20. Light green with white letterings "Hollister" across the chest. I remember I was so proud of having a job in grade 9 that I would slowly get in the habit of shopping. Abercrombie on the other hand, was a slightly different story. Owned a few sweaters, shirts and shorts but not really a fan. I don't remember paying regular price for anything (YAY ME). Earning $7.25/hr barely helped. Story of my life, when back in the day, minimum wage was under $7.50. *sigh*

I had a Paul Frank obsession during grade 8. As of now, I have approximately 8-10 t-shirts in different designs and colours. I'm embarrassed to say that I barely wear any (maybe to sleep or as lounging clothes). Two shirts were a gift, one was on sale and the rest were $30 regular price. That's almost $300 worth of Paul Frank clothing plus belts. Ri-di-culous.

I remember when fur-hood coats were in. I was so tempted to get one so I bothered my mom while she was playing mah jong with her friends to bring me shopping. BAD IDEA especially when she started yelling. Eventually someone in the house was going to the mall so my mom gave them her visa. The things I do for jacket..that I barely wore for a year because then it looked ugly to me LOL

TNA. The thought of little girls wearing it grosses me out. Sure their "suit" was in by then (I also wanted one myself), but I lost respect for Aritzia when they started making XXXXXXXS sizes just so they can make profit from little kids. My first piece of TNA clothing was a simple turquoise t-shirt which I received as a gift for Christmas. Eventually it led to two more sweaters (which I still wear). Surprisingly, no suit (I know euh?) because eventually Lululemon caught my eye as the "adult version of TNA". A more mature brand so I had to get a pair myself. I did so much damage to my debit. I had no idea that credit cards existed back then.

A typical high-school student with a part-time job, and this is what happens.

UNIVERSITY is a completely different chapter.

    Karl Lagerfeld: Fall 2009 Ready-to-Wear

I can honestly understand the love that my cousin has for Karl Lagerfeld. Such a unique combination of creativity and simplicity. At least this took my mind off OB for now. Another 2 chapters to go...

Currently craving an Ice Cappucino. And penne pasta?

Buckley: "Taste awful but does not necessarily work"

THE OUTFIT: Forever XXI Oversized Gingham Shirt, Alecia Skinny Jeans + Aldo Chain Pouch

The night consisted of constant coughing fits resulting in numerous consumptions of halls. Despite the sore throat and coughs, I had to take advantage of the $1.50 moxie sized drinks and the chicken parmesan penne pasta dinner. Got the birthday girl a tequila shot. In the end, she got way to tipsy and wasn't able to consume her delicious cake BUT I did bring the leftover cake to my house (since I went home to get socks for bowling). Mich: the cake is calling your name! I've always questioned myself as to why I didn't get Buckley's in the first place. Robitussin was on sale that night so I just grabbed that instead. Hurray for asian blood! Eventually by this week, my coughs worsened so I bought Buckley's. Their slogan is talking shit. I spent $15 on cough medicines and I'm still sick. FML

I finally decided to purchase my textbooks, most of them from the bookstore. I procrastinated way too much trying to find used books that I am falling behind in every class. It's only the second week of classes too.
