Better late than never. But never late is better.

High Tea @ Annona, Macarons from MoRoCo Chocolat

Satisfied one of my cravings for the holidays with an ex-coworker from way back in the day. Annona at Park Hyatt Toronto was recommended by her friend and let's just say the experience was worthwhile. Although I couldn't finish the Dark Chocolate Cherry Domino pastry (too much chocolate for my taste buds), you can't go wrong when it's $26 per person. I'm not kidding.

Satisfied ANOTHER craving at MoRoCo Chocolat today (I had to stop by since it was a block away). I can definitely taste the $2.50 when I took a bite in the Pistachio and Passionfruit macarons as i'm typing this. Mind you I just got back from dinner at Milestones and I still managed to chow down these amazing french pastries. Words can't even describe how amazing the flavours are. I had to pass on the coconut flavour though - maybe next time.

It was definitely fun being a foodie for the day. Can I do this as a career?

Bad Misses throwing Raspberry Kisses

F21 Chunky Sweater

Big chunky knits! Who doesn't love them? Decided to do a small blog update, nothing special. Finally getting my priorities back on track and did I mention that it feels AWESOME to get paid again? Won't last for long though since I decided to dedicate my time at the school library during winter term instead of commuting back and forth via Greyhound. I'm slowly becoming depressed as to how much bus tickets/receipts I have accumulated, along with the number of Foursquare check-ins. Meh.

Thankful for the Starbucks near campus that will soon be 24/7. Until then, can't wait to share my Christmas wish list! More like hoping my "brothers" will read this and share it with my parents instead.

Everytime I tried to leave, something tells me turn around

Started the long weekend with a dimsum feast. Having guests over from out of the province gives my family a reason to go out and pig out. Daddy took all of us to "Crown Prince Fine Dining" and this by far took the #1 spot on my "dimsum" list. Oddly enough, we were having dimsum in European setting (weird, I know) - paintings of the renaissance era and the silverware did not even look "asian". I would've loved to take a picture of every dish but when it comes to dining with my parents, I'd get scolded for even holding a camera HENCE the picture of "everything". Dishes that I love to order are the tripes and black bean spare ribs. Har gow and siu mai are getting boring.

Rest of the weekend consists of...well, I'm not even sure myself but all I can tell you is that there will be a lot of family time that's for sure. Oh, and catching up on my psych and accounting homework/notes.

On another note: got an interview with Tiffany and Co. and I am uber nervous, considering that they are a luxury brand and the current employees are a lot older and more mature. What does that have to do with it? Who knows, I over-think a lot of things sometimes.

Shopping Dilemma

I'm planning on doing a huge splurge next summer (when and IF I get a job) to reward myself for finishing 3 years of university *laugh out loud*. Not sure if I want a purse, electronic, or shoes though.

Canon t2i DSLR, iPad, Macbook Pro
Balenciaga's Part Time, Louis Vuitton's Eva Clutch, MiuMiu's Patent Leather Bow Clutch

Sam Edelman's Lorissa pumps, Michael Kors' Wellington Boots, Tory Burch Ballerina Flats, Coach Lynn Gold Flats

I know...I should be saving up to pay back OSAP...*sigh*

Summer has just begun...

...literally. Whoever's in Toronto will understand. Random thunderstorms here and there, along with a few chilly nights. Now I'm afraid to step out of the house. It's like walking into an oven.

An general idea of what my summer was like:
1-5: Royal Ontario Museum. Took advantage of the complimentary ticket for university students. Only on Tuesday's if you're interested!
6: Pork Bone Soup (of course)
7-8: Ontario Science Centre. Pretty disappointing, since most of the fun stuff were broken or removed. Harry Potter exhibition was even more disappointing.
9-12: My second visit to CNE. More food and walking of course. The Mexican poutine from Bouchard Poutinery was probably the highlight of my night. Poutine is all I think about...sad isn't it?

American Food Porn

Red Velvet Cake @ La Grande Orange Cafe

Classic Cinnabon @ Universal Studios

Assorted Asian dishes

Custard Tart Cake from R&J Bakery

Funnel Cake @ Six Flags Magic Mountain

Flaming Hot Cheetos

Some of the foods I had on my LA/Vegas trip. I had more (of course).

To a New Beginning ...

What I love about events that are held at Chinese restaurants:

Madison's Baby Shower at Fancy Chinese Cuisine

I've been waiting for a while now till someone got married to have these dishes again. One of the main reasons why I love Asian weddings. Of course weddings are not the only event that are held at a Chinese restaurant. Babies that are 1 month old have their spotlight as well.

I was trying to play with the positioning of the food so I could take a picture. As you can tell, I was really eager to eat. Hence the poor presentation and messy plates. My bad.
